With an overwhelming response for Pause Awards ‘22, we’re thrilled to extend the deadline to midnight on Friday 14 October, AEST. But no more, that is it! Capisce.

Straight after the Extended Deadline, on 17 October the First Round judges get to work to shortlist the finalists for the Judging Board. We’ve added a few more excellent judges lately, please check them all out here. 

The appointed and repeating Judging Board from 2021, sits down from 7–9 November in an open group discussion to debate who will become the champion of 2022!

This year, we have a Public Voting as well, which kicks off on Monday 10 October! So, round your troops and get ‘em ready to fire off votes. We’ll be naming only one People’s Choice Award winner from the public voting, which closes on 4 November.

Finalists will be announced on 9 November in our newsroom page and we’ll notify you to update your profiles in the Entry Portal with additional information, such as profile photos and testimonials just in case you win. You need to have your profile updated if you want to be featured on our website as a winner, in Pause Index and the Top10 list of most innovative companies in Australia.

Pause Awards night is not just for the companies that entered the awards, it’s open to the entire Australian innovation ecosystem to celebrate the end of the year and business success with us in a superstling venue. Tickets will go on sale shortly!

To honour your excellence, if you win, you’ll be presented with a Winners Pack (Basic & Premium) option which you can read more about here. Essentially, if you want our shiny new trophy design to grace your office, certificates, TrophyNFT and 17 other benefits – it’s a Premium Pack and it comes with associated fees, based on your company size. 

Winners will be contacted before the Awards Night to order their Premium Winners Packs so that we can arrange to have them produced, engraved and handed out on the night. The Culture track seeks entries that exemplify the development of an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture, crucial for organisational success and growth. The Excellence track celebrates businesses that have demonstrated remarkable success and impact within their industry, regardless of their size. Entries for this category should illustrate how the business's strategic execution, guided by visionary leadership and exceptional expertise, has significantly influenced the industry. The focus will be on the tangible outcomes of these strategies, highlighting the company's ability to innovate, lead, and leave a lasting impression in its field.

The Good track is focused on recognising companies dedicated to their mission of creating a positive societal impact. Entries should highlight innovative solutions aimed at addressing global challenges such as environmental sustainability, social equity, and community well-being. Successful submissions will demonstrate how their initiatives contribute to significant changes, tackling issues like gender inequality, social imbalance, and injustice, thereby setting a precedent for responsible and impactful business practices.

Awarded to a single entry in a category, Grand Prix is the top accolade in that category. To win the Grand Prix, the entire Judging Board must unanimously agree that the entry deserves the accolade of being the best in that category.

The Growth track is about showcasing how businesses have enhanced productivity and execution to make a significant impact in their market. Entries should highlight innovative strategies that have optimised the customer journey, leading to increased engagement and commercial success. This track is for those who have effectively used their understanding of the market and customer needs to scale their business and achieve notable growth.

The Operators track seeks entries that showcase leadership in fostering innovation within their ecosystems. Ideal submissions will highlight how your initiatives have catalysed the creation of new products or services, bolstered by a culture that uplifts internal teams and the wider community. This track celebrates those who drive progress by empowering voices and forging transformative connections in their industry.
